Our Pink Dogwood Cards are now available for purchase. Browse our collection of six different cards, each with a different sentiment.

You know spring is here when the dogwood trees start to bloom. I have over 17 white dogwood trees in my front yard alone, and I can’t wait for them to all be in bloom at the same time. It is a sight to behold.

They seem to come alive at Easter time, which has caused them to be associated with the legend of the Dogwoods. This legend was dated back to the crucifixion of Jesus two thousand years ago. The flower has two long petals and two short petals which represent the cross. Also, they have small indentions and stains on the end, which look similar to nail holes and blood.

My mom loved creating this “Pink Dogwood Cards” collection of six colored pencil drawings. They each start with a line drawing on paper. She then begins the process of lightly applying colored pencils, building up several layers. When she is finished, I take over and scan each one and add text. One is dedicated solely to send for Easter, and the other five are for other different special occasions.

We pray each and everyone to have a blessed Passover and Easter.
