Laughter releases endorphins that have similar effects to drugs like morphine and gives us feelings of euphoria.
My husband has a very dry sense of humor, but now and then he can tell a joke and laugh until I cry. I always say that it is my medicine for the day. Laughter can be contagious, so tell someone a joke and spread a little dose around. It doesn’t cost a thing, and you don’t need a prescription from the doctor.
